Product Description

The Buddy Traveller is a system whereby inexperienced travellers can buddy up with experienced travellers to help them through travelling for the first time.

The system is a little like a dating website where people sign up for it when they book their ticket online.  The users can register as either an experienced flier or a first time flier and the system matches them up based on flights.  Ideally the two fliers will be on the same flight.

They will be able to communicate through the web application or swap email/other contact details.  The first time flier will then be able to ask the experienced flier questions or for help. They might even agree to meet up sometime before the flight to go over stuff like luggage requirements or prohibited materials in person.  Most likely they will simply email or otherwise communicate with each other.

The idea is that the inexperienced flier has someone who they can ask questions of who has specifically stated that they would like to be asked questions of.

Problem Statement

This system is designed to help people who are inexperienced or first time fliers with navigating the rules and regulations of airports.

Concrete Scenario of Use

Amy is travelling internationally for the first time.  She's worried about the experience and wants to have a buddy or friend on the flight to help her through the experience.  She signs up and is assigned Bob, who is kind of a creep.  Amy has a terrible experience and has to decline giving Bob her personal details multiple times.  Fortunately they are sitting in different parts of the plane and never meet face to face.
